EPO Quantification Kit
The
EPO Quantification Kit from
MAIIA Diagnostics
is a lateral flow immunoassay intended for fast and easy quantification of EPO in buffer solutions
or urine specimens.
An immobilized anti-EPO antibody is used to bind and concentrate EPO in a thin capture
zone on the lateral flow strip. Anti-EPO Carbon Black Nano-Strings are then applied for detection
and quantification of the bound analyte, yielding a black to grey signal. The intensity
of blackness in the capture zone is proportional to the amount of bound EPO, and
hence the concentration of EPO in the sample can be estimated using an EPO standard
curve.
The procedure is rapid and sensitive, and requires no additional equipment when
used for
semi-quantitative detection.
The test can be made
quantitative by placing the strips in a flatbed
scanner and quantifying the signal intensity by our novel software, MAIIAcalc.
The short reaction time (15 min.) makes it suitable to use for measuring EPO in
ultra filtered urine retentate in order to obtain the optimal EPO amount for application
on the IEF gel used for analysis of EPO isoform patterns.
